Collector Insights
Unown is a Psychic-type Pokémon with 60 HP and a retreat cost of one Colorless energy. It features a unique Poké-Power called Shuffle, allowing the player to search their deck for another Unown and switch it with the current one, transferring all attached cards, damage counters, and effects. The new Unown is placed on top of the deck, and the deck is shuffled afterward. This ability can only be used once per turn. Unown’s attack, Hidden Power, requires two Psychic energy cards to power, enabling the player to attach up to two basic Energy cards from the opponent’s Pokémon to the defending Pokémon. The card has no resistances but is weak to Psychic-type attacks, which deal double damage. It was first released in the Unseen Forces set as part of the EX series on August 1, 2005.
