Ninetales is a Fire-type Pokémon with 100 HP, featuring a retreat cost of one Colorless energy. It has two attacks: "Lure" and "Fire Blast." The "Lure" attack costs one Fire energy and allows the player to switch an opponent's Benched Pokémon with their Active one, preventing the new Active Pokémon from retreating during the opponent's next turn. The "Fire Blast" attack requires two Fire and one Colorless energy, dealing 120 damage and discarding a Fire Energy attached to Ninetales. The card is part of the XY series, released in November 2016, as part of the Evolutions set. It is classified as a Rare Holo card and is illustrated by Ken Sugimori. Its nine long tails and golden fur are said to symbolize a lifespan of 1,000 years. The Pokémon is weak to Water-type attacks, which deal double damage.
