Metagross-GX is a Pokémon with 250 HP and a Metal type, requiring three Colorless Energy to retreat. It has a resistance to Psychic attacks, reducing damage by 20, and is weak to Fire attacks, which deal double damage. The card features an ability called Geotech System, allowing the player to attach a Psychic or Metal Energy card from their discard pile to their Active Pokémon once per turn. Its primary attack, Giga Hammer, costs two Metal and one Colorless Energy to deal 150 damage, but it cannot be used again during the next turn. The secondary attack, Algorithm-GX, costs one Colorless Energy and lets the player search their deck for up to five cards to add to their hand before shuffling their deck, with a restriction of using only one GX attack per game. When Metagross-GX is Knocked Out, the opponent is forced to take two Prize cards. The card is part of the Sun & Moon series, released in the Guardians Rising set on May 5, 2017, with a Rare Holo GX rarity.
