The card was illustrated by artist sadaji and released as a Promo rarity in the Sun & Moon series, specifically in the SM Black Star Promos set on February 3, 2017. Its retreat cost requires three Colorless Energy, and it has no resistances. The card includes two attacks: Rocket Splash, which uses two Water Energy to deal 60× damage and shuffle Water Energy from the Pokémon’s hand into the deck, and Giant Geyser-GX, a special attack that allows attaching any number of Water Energy cards from the hand to the Pokémon. The GX attack’s text notes a restriction of using only one GX attack per game. Additionally, if Blastoise-GX is Knocked Out, the opponent forfeits two Prize cards.
