Grapploct is a Fighting-type Pokémon with 130 HP. It features two attacks: Octolock, which requires two Fighting Energy to use, and Tough Swing, needing three Energy (two Fighting and one Colorless). Octolock’s effect lasts until Grapploct leaves the Active Spot, increasing the Defending Pokémon’s attack cost by Colorless and preventing retreats. Tough Swing deals 130 damage and ignores Resistance. The card has a retreat cost of two Colorless Energy. Its flavor text highlights the Pokémon’s muscular body and powerful grappling techniques. Grapploct was released in the Sword & Shield series on February 7, 2020, as a Rare card with regulation mark D. It has no resistances but is weak to Psychic-type attacks multiplied by two.
