Escavalier is a Metal-type Pokémon with 100 HP. It features two attacks: "Steamroll" costs one Metal and one Colorless energy to deal 40 damage and inflict 20 damage to a Benched opponent Pokémon, bypassing Weakness and Resistance. "Slashing Strike" requires two Colorless and one Metal energy for 80 damage but prevents the Pokémon from using this attack during the player's next turn. The card has a Resistance to Psychic-type attacks, reducing damage by 20, and a Weakness to Fire-type attacks, which deal double damage. Escavalier's retreat cost is three Colorless energy. It was first released in the Plasma Blast set of the Black & White series on August 14, 2013. The card's flavor text describes it as a Pokémon that uses stolen shells from Shelmet to defend itself with two lances. Artist 5ban Graphics designed the card's illustration.
