Houndoom is a Darkness-type Pokémon from the Black & White series, released in 2013 as part of the Plasma Blast set. It has 100 HP and requires one Colorless energy to retreat. The card features a resistance to Psychic-type attacks, reducing damage by 20, and is weak to Fighting-type attacks, which deal double damage. Houndoom has two attacks: Dark Clamp, which costs Darkness and Colorless energy to deal 30 damage and prevents the defending Pokémon from retreating during the opponent’s next turn, and Blazing Claws, which costs three Colorless energy to deal 60+ damage. If the defending Pokémon is a Team Plasma Pokémon, Blazing Claws adds 60 damage and inflicts the Burn status condition. The card’s flavor text describes its angry flames containing toxins, with burns causing persistent pain. Artist Shin Nagasawa designed the card, and it is classified as a Rare Holo edition.
