What are the Yu Nagaba Pokémon cards?
They are Japanese promos drawn by Yu Nagaba, an illustrator known for plain black line drawings on white. Each card has a large white art box with the Pokémon drawn in a few lines, and "Yu Nagaba x Pokémon Card Game" written beside it.
Pikachu (2021)
The 2021 Pikachu
The first card came out on July 22, 2021. Customers who spent ¥1,500 or more at Pokémon Center, Pokémon Store or Pokémon Center Online in Japan got the Pikachu promo, 208/S-P. The same campaign sold Yu Nagaba sleeves, a playmat and other accessories.
The 2023 Eeveelution promos
On May 24, 2023, the collaboration came back with nine cards: Eevee and all eight of its evolutions, numbered 062 to 070/SV-P. You got one at random for every ¥1,000 spent on Pokémon card products at Pokémon Center shops, up to ten per person, so completing the set took some luck.
