What is the Japan Post Stamp Box?
It is a 2021 collaboration between Pokémon and Japan Post. Demand was so high that the box was sold by lottery: people entered by postcard, and winners paid ¥4,000 and picked the box up at a post office.
The box held postage stamps, including Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise stamps based on the original Base Set cards, a Family Pokémon Card Game starter set, three shaped postcards and the two promo cards.

Which artworks do the cards copy?
Pikachu joins Beauty Looking Back (Mikaeri Bijin), a 17th-century painting by Hishikawa Moronobu of a woman in a red kimono glancing over her shoulder. On the card, Pikachu rides on her back.
Cramorant takes the place of the birds in Moon and Geese (Tsuki ni Kari), a woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige. Both artworks had been Japanese stamps before, first issued in 1948 and 1949, and the box included new stamps of each with the Pokémon added.
What do the cards do?
Pikachu has one attack that switches it with one of your Benched Pokémon. Cramorant has 90 HP and an attack that flips three coins and does 60 damage for each heads.
How much are the Japan Post Stamp Box cards worth?
Pikachu is by far the more valuable. In late September 2026, the prices Pooka tracks put it at about €4,300 on Cardmarket and about €2,600 in eBay sales. Cramorant sells for about €490 on Cardmarket and about €715 on eBay.
